Next rehearsal meeting

We are in the process of chosing the next show we will be putting on in October. Please come along to the Brook theatre, Chatham at 8pm on Tuesday 16th March, where we will present a shortlist of productions to the company, listen to some of the musical numbers in the show and maybe look at some of the scripts. New members are always welcome. Please contact us for more information.

Sad News

This year the society has tragically lost both of its presidents, as Olga and Bill Laraman have passed away.

We send our love and condolences to their family and friends. We will all miss them and the great contributions they have made to the society over the years.

Change of name

It has been decided to change the company's name from Gillingham Operatic and Dramatic Society (G.O.D.S) to Gillingham Dramatic Society (G.D.S.) to more accurately reflect the nature of our productions. It was felt that the word 'operatic' in our name suggested that our productions were operas! As we do not perform opera and wish to make that clear to members of the public, we have dropped this term from our name.
